Kibabii University gave a sterling performance in the just concluded Kenya Universities’ Performing Arts and Film Association (KUPAA) music festivals held from the 17th to 22nd of March, 2024 at the Technical University of Mombasa (TUM).
KIBU presented fifteen (15) items and was awarded certificates of participation alongside six (6) trophies in various categories.
KIBU emerged position one (1) in the following five (5) categories:
Researched African Folk Dance; Researched African Folk Song; Taarab; Unpublished poem; and Cover song, and position two (2) in the set choral verse
speaking.
During the gala, KIBU presented the researched African folk dance from the Gishu community of Eastern Uganda to an audience comprising Vice Chancellors, Deans of Students, and other invited guests.
