Kibabii University took part in the Kenya University Sports Federation (KUSF) National Athletics Competition held at Kenyatta University on 23rd and 24th March, 2024, posting very impressive results.
Overally, KIBU scooped a remarkable position three (3) out of the twenty universities in Kenya that participated in the competition, with the mens’ team being position eight overall.
The KIBU ladies’ athletics team made KIBU proud by emerging position one out of the twenty participating universities countrywide, leading two of our lady athletes, Yvon Otunga and Melab Njuli to be invited by the International Olympics Committee (IOC) and the National Olympic Committee of Kenya (NOCK) to participate in the Olympic trials to be held in June at the Nyayo National Stadium.
Yvon Otunga and Melab Njuli have been placed under scientific training programme with the aim of improving their personal best times.
